From April to November, you will not see any lights by the water when you visit Miramar at night. This is due to the rare sea turtles who call Miramar home. Every year the tiny creatures hatch and make their way to the ocean. This is an incredible event to witness, however, due to the threat of extinction, beachgoers are asked to not use any form of light to watch the turtles or to disturb them as they adventure on towards the water.
